The Hawaii-Alaska (HI-AK) Chapter of HIMSS is one of 56 chapters of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). HIMSS is the healthcare industry's membership organization exclusively focused on providing leadership for the optimal use of healthcare information technology (HIT) and management systems for the betterment of human health. We cannot succeed in our mission without the support of community members, industry leaders, and companies such as yours.
In 2011 Alaska healthcare industry leaders decided to join forces and combine resources with the already established Hawaii HIMSS Chapter; thus forming the Hawaii – Alaska HIMSS Chapter. To remain an active chapter, in good standing, a chapter must offer a certain number of education events to its members, as well as community events each year. As a 501-6c non-profit professional organization we rely on time volunteered by our members to organize events, and the generous financial contributions from companies such as yours to pay for these events. The education and community events our chapter offer serve as an ideal opportunity to meet industry leaders in healthcare IT, and to better understand the issues and potential solutions facing the healthcare industry.
Your company can help our organization and your employees with a onetime annual financial contribution. Additional special event sponsorship opportunities may become available through the year as well. On the next page we have outlined some suggested contribution levels and what your company will receive in exchange for your support.
